A Brief on Innovative Digital Solutions from LEAP 22

The event that had been held in Riyadh on February 1-3, 2022 closed with an unexpectedly high number of registers. More than 100K registered visitors and 6.4B $ of investment were held in the event. LEAP 22 also spotlighted startups and entrepreneurs specialized in digital solutions. The following are a few unique digital solutions that have been discussed during the event:





Huawei & STC New Strategic Partnership


Huawei’s rotating chairman Guo Ping has announced that Huawei is working to build a cloud region in Saudi Arabia. The AI capabilities for supporting governments and enterprises will intelligently be upgraded through HUAWEI CLOUD. The Enterprise business group explored scenario-based solutions across five major industries: government, energy, transportation, finance, and education.

On the other hand, stc revealed a new strategic partnership with Huawei Technologies Company. The partnership will hold data center equipment in manufacturing facilities, and hardware establishments in Saudi Arabia. The objective is to boost Saudi Arabia’s capacity in the high-tech industry, create local supply chains for technology hardware, and adopt modern technologies by Saudi businesses.

In the showroom, Dr. g. Naseem Hadaji, the Senior Solution Architect in Huawei Technology presented the new digital solution in fiber connection called FTTR. It stands for Fiber to the Room and provides each room with fiber connectivity. FTTR is suitable to cover wide areas like homes and offices.






 

Visual Solutions by Logitech

Logitech has lightened its leading visual communicating technology that supports various business facilities like education, healthcare, customer and employee satisfaction. Logitech also spotlighted their new product called: Rally Bar, the new conference meeting solution platform that works in synonym of Microsoft teams and Zoom.

Scribe is another product that Logitech revealed during the conference. It is a camera that is dedicated to smart boards in class and meeting rooms. It is compatible with visual solution platforms and able to virtually cast the board’s content and the attendees in high resolution.





 


Microsoft Empowers Disabilities’ Digital Use

As one of the platinum sponsors, Microsoft participates in LEAP 22. Eng. Thamir Alharbi, the president of “Microsoft Arabia” highlighted cyber security and the best strategic tools to maintain it, and how Microsoft commits to them.

On the other hand, Alharbi went through a few interesting features in Windows 11 that support disabilities digital usage. Like “Voice Recognition” and “disabilities accessibility to the apps.”






 

New Products & Services to Saudi Arabia by Lenovo

Lenovo is in discussions with big corporates in the Kingdom to bring new products and services into the Saudi market, and to take part in the digitization that is undergoing in different sectors in Saudi Arabia. This is what Alaa Bawab, General Manager of Lenovo Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) in the Middle East & Africa, said. He also expected that Saudi Arabia will very soon be ranked on a global scale rather than a regional one in terms of technological advancement. He also mentioned that the 2030 vision is showing a great emphasis on digitization and utilizing technology.
